“Math Without Numbers” (2021) by Milo Beckman is a quick fun read while also providing insight into the world of professional mathematics from a mathematician’s point of view. The book takes readers on an easy to understand tour of three main areas of mathematical inquiry: topology, analysis, and algebra and tops it off with contemplating math’s foundations. Beckman closes the book on a both practical and philosophical note with a peak into modeling real world phenomena.

I highly recommend “Math Without Numbers” for all interested readers including high school and middle school students.
